Stooge Panel page – Updated 03/29/04

Dave Bradley and I produce front panels that are made to match the beautiful MOTM
synth module panels. These panels are made for some third party manufacturer’s
synth modules, so they can be converted to the MOTM format. And, they are made
for DIY projects as well. If you have a DIY project and you want custom made Stooge
Panels made to your specifications, we can do that. Because of growing interest in
DIY panels and one or two of a kind, we have established uniform prices for ALL
panels. These prices are based on recovering the fixed cost of a new design with
the initial order. The fixed cost is spread across the number of panels ordered.

The next scheduled printing of Stooge panels is April / May 2004 for delivery in mid
June 2004.

reflect cost. The price of each panel varies over a range depending on how many are

Note that the quantity ordered if from ALL orders for that panel, not just the quantity that
you personally order.

When new panel designs are printed for the first time, we include the cost of the new
screen in the price. That fixed cost is $19 for 1U wide panels, $25 for 2U wide panels
and $37 for 3U wide panels. The panels are added to the existing panel list for any
subsequent orders. Here are the prices for new designs.

We will not send out ANY invoices until after all orders are in because of the new
pricing structure. You need not combine your orders with those of others for the
quantity discount. The Stooges do that for you! Please be prepared to pay up to
the 2-panel price if you order a panel. Your order cannot be cancelled unless you
are the only one ordering a particular design. We will offer you the opportunity to
cancel and re-order at a later date when perhaps others may be interested.

The list of available panels will has been significantly expanded to include panels from
past DIY orders and some additions. See links below for the list of available panels.
New DIY designs are not released to the Stooge panel list until after the first run.
However, person submitting a DIY design can let as many people as he wants to
know about that panels availability on the first run.

On DIY designs, the availability of a panel does NOT guarantee the availability of any
circuit to go behind the panel. You must contact the DIY design owner about that.

Prices do not include drilling the pot and jack holes in the panels. They come with
only the 4 corner holes. You drill the rest. You can’t / don’t drill ? No problem. You
can contract Stooge drilling services. 1U price is $6, 2U price is $10 and 3U price is
$13 per panel.

We do not "stock" many of these panels. However, when printing, we do make extras
in the case of rejects. So, from time to time, we do have some available. Normally,
these panels are available as special order. About 2 times a year, I will announce to the
MOTM list that we are making panels and ask for people to submit orders. All orders
must be paid in advance. If you are not a MOTM list subscriber or just want to be certain
you do not miss out, you can send me e-mail anytime and I will put your wishes on the
panel waiting list so we can be sure to print your panels when the time comes.

Obviously, the economy of quantity is the way we keep prices reasonable and the
reason we order these in groups only a couple of times a year at most.
