Frankenstein Switch
The attached link will take whisk you away to Mark Pulver’s MIDIWall site where you will
see some photos of the "huge ass knife switch" (as Mark calls it) that will serve as the
main power switch in his studio. Of course, the switch will have low voltage DC applied
to the blade (safety first !!). I sent this switch to Mark once I found out his desire for
such a beast. It was retired from 30 or more years of service in a utility substation. It
is rated for carrying 400 amps at 15,000 volts. I hear Mark’s studio is pretty close to
needing it’s own power source since he has so much gear.
