VERY important note: Within the attached PDF file, one of the substitutions listed for
the BC549 is the 2N3904. The base is the same (middle pin) on both trannys, but the
collector and emitter are reversed from each other. If you use the 2N3904, be certain
to install them reversed as compared to the PCB silkscreen. This tip comes to you
courtesy of Andrew Sanchez after discovering the pin out difference during his
